Job Title: Video Editor/Content Creator – Part-Time/Full-Time

30 Day Evaluation Period

Salary Range: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour based on experience.

Preferred Location: Jamestown, NY

Reports to: President

Job Overview: The Video Editor is responsible for creating, producing, and editing videos and photos using the Adobe Cloud Suite of products including but not limited to Premiere Pro, After Affects, and Lightroom.

Responsibilities and duties related to Video Editing and Creating:

• Provide digital services of producing, editing, and creating videos and content for websites and social media outlets.
• Using Adobe Premiere to edit existing videos to be displayed on customers websites and social media platforms.
• Create and produce graphically appealing intros and outros for all content.
• Assist web developers to tell the story of customers’ businesses by way of video and photography.
• Create visual concepts that match the content and color scheme discussed with the client
• Assist with narrations of content for social media.
• Perform complete testing of functionality of completed work.
• Collaborate and contribute to the overall development of the team and of internal tools and websites.

Essential Duties:

• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Escalate development issues that cannot be completed within agreed timelines.
• Communicate monthly with customers keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes, delays or agreed outages.
• Document customer tutorials, how-to videos and maintenance guides when required.
• Responsible for entering time for services or projects and expenses as it occurs.
• Participate in weekly production meetings with company management.

Specific Skills:

• Must be proficient in Adobe suite of products.
• Show proficiency in content creation.
• Proficient use of major social media platforms.
• Experience with cinematography, drone footage, handheld stabilizers.
• Experience with Apple platforms.
• Experience administering Windows platforms.

Successful candidates will:

• Be required to work in person in our Jamestown, NY office.
• Possess at least an associate degree or working towards degree in Video Production.
• Proficiency in Adobe audition
• Knowledge of photography lighting and depth of field
• Experience with WordPress is a plus.
• Effective Interpersonal skills: such as thoughtful listening, empathy, diplomacy, and respect
• Passionate, self-motivated with the ability to resolve conflict while maintaining poise.
• Skill in troubleshooting and diagnosis of technical issues.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously while addressing customer issues.
• Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
