Contract Video Editor

Job Overview:

Oversee production of video content pieces including, but not limited to story writing, graphic design, music and soundtrack content. Work across the organization with advancement, production and marketing to create multimedia solutions, including the production of meaningful content that shapes the Celebrity Series messaging.

Primary Responsibilities:

Video:

• Work with Marketing and Production teams to create season announcement video for 2024/25 season

• Work with internal Marketing team to create video assets for Alvin Ailey campaign

• Manage the production of four digital performances; Create lower thirds and credit scroll, traffic content to external video techs, upload production to Vimeo, be on call during video premiere to ensure streaming success

• Share knowledge, experience, and skill with other design staff; works with design counterparts to ensure continuity across digital touchpoints

• Using knowledge of software programs like Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop

design video graphics, titles, music, and creative look of digital shows; making final editorial decisions regarding assembly of information, illustrations, and content.

Communications:

• Work regularly in Asana to update projects and work across departments to proactively communicate on timelines, key milestones, and project escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• Minimum of five years experience in graphic design and video editing
• Willingness to support, assist, and collaborate with CS colleagues in all departments
• A commitment to the organization’s equity, sensitivity, and inclusion goals
• Technical with Adobe suite and video editing programs

Work Environment

The Celebrity Series offices are located in the Park Square Office Building at 20 Park Plaza, Suite 220, in Boston’s Back Bay. The building is convenient to public transportation and is fully accessible.
