Full job description

Fervor Creative is an Emmy® award-winning studio that is looking for an experienced Video Editor, Motion Graphics Animator to work on-site in Scottsdale, AZ. We combine video with other avenues for storytelling to build brands for some of the largest companies in Arizona and beyond. Our full-service approach means that you’ll be part of a diverse team and integral in driving innovative ways to concept, create, animate and produce compelling videos.

The ideal candidate is passionate about design, animation, video editing and using that passion to create compelling stories.

What you’ll do:

  • Work effectively with the Video Department and Design team to conceptualize and create graphics and storyboards for animations.
  • Design, create and animate graphics, including lower thirds, logos, transitions, complex infographics and more, primarily using After Effects and FCPX.
  • Edit video incorporating newly created animations, audio design, music, color treatments, to create high quality video content.
  • Create video content ranging from long form documentary, instructional, short form, explainers, marketing, social media and sizzle reels for clients across various platforms.
  • Manage multiple assigned projects at various stages of production, from start to final delivery.
  • Proactively manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to elevating our content and expanding our capabilities to help build an innovative creative studio and a positive, upbeat and professional atmosphere.

You should have:

  • Strong portfolio of both motion graphics and video editing demonstrating your expertise
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in motion graphics and video editing
  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of Final Cut Pro (FCPX)
  • Understanding of video cameras, formats, frame rates, etc. as it relates to post-production.
  • An eye for good design, typography, color and visual art.
  • An ear for good music and sound design.
  • Strong/Positive Communication Skills
  • A passion to learn every day and do great work for great clients!

Bonus qualifications:

  • VFX animation and compositing skills, major plus!
  • Knowledge of the Sony cinema camera lines (This is what we use)
  • Understanding of video lighting equipment
  • Experience working on set with the production team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
