Responsibilities Video Editing: Collaborate with the news team to edit raw footage into compelling news videos that adhere to our editorial standards. Create visually engaging and informative videos that enhance the storytelling process. Content Enhancement: Enhance video content with graphics, animations, captions, and other visual elements to convey information effectively and engage the audience. Creative Input: Offer creative ideas and suggestions for improving video content, graphics, and overall presentation. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and discussions regarding visual storytelling. Collaboration: Work closely with reporters, producers, and other team members to understand the narrative and objectives of each news video. Incorporate feedback and make necessary revisions to meet quality standards. Multimedia Integration: Assist in integrating multimedia elements such as images, audio clips, and relevant B-roll footage to enhance the overall impact of the news videos. Technical Proficiency: Use video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to edit and finalize videos. Ensure that audio, video, and graphics are synchronized seamlessly. Quality Control: Review and correct errors, ensure visual consistency, and maintain high production standards throughout the editing process. Deadline Adherence: Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and deliver polished videos on schedule. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in video editing techniques. Apply new skills and knowledge to improve the quality of video content. Qualifications Pursuing or recently completed a degree in film production, video editing, multimedia, journalism, or a related field. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent. Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual storytelling and aesthetics. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in video editing. Basic understanding of news production and the ability to convey information effectively. Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, After Effects) is a plus. A passion for news, current events, and multimedia storytelling.
