Company Description: Significant Others is a boutique visual effects (VFX) company with offices in New York and Los Angeles. Job Details: We’re on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated and ambitious Flame Assistant to join our award-winning team in our New York or Los Angeles office. This is a unique opportunity to learn and grow while working on a variety of exciting and challenging advertising projects that include but are not limited to advertising, feature films, music videos, and art pieces. This position is open to full time and freelance candidates. Responsibilities: Assist our senior Flame Artists in executing conforms, compositing, VFX/finishing, and delivery and uploads. Collaborate with a talented team to create compelling and creative visual effects. Learn new techniques and develop a deep understanding of all stages of the VFX process. Prep slates, files and graphic elements for use in the Flame. Perform Quality Control. Maintain vault and flame archives. Requirements: 1+ years of experience in VFX production using Flame with a strong focus on commercial work. Experience with Resolve, After Effects, Premiere, Nuke, Illustrator, Photoshop, Compressor Episode, and Quicktime Pro is a plus. Knowledge of file formats and compression methods / practices. Ability to problem-solve, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively in a team environment. A genuine passion for VFX and an eagerness to learn and grow.
