Job Description

Ultiworld is seeking a highly motivated and experienced part-time Video Editor to assist in the post-production & publication of college, club, and international games & social media content.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with our creative team to understand project requirements and objectives.
2. Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, professional-quality videos, ensuring smooth transitions, accurate graphics, quality audio, and visual coherence.
3. Utilize video editing & graphics software (Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects) to add scorebugs & optimize video and audio quality.
4. Color grade videos (when necessary) to maintain consistency.
5. Utilize vector graphics software (Adobe Illustrator) to create unique thumbnails from a template file.
6. Create, edit, and publish videos on Youtube and our website using Wordpress.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and video editing techniques to continuously improve editing skills.
8. Collaborate with the video team to brainstorm and contribute ideas for new video projects & improving our workflow.
9. Meet deadlines and efficiently manage time to ensure timely delivery of projects.

This is a part-time position, offering approximately 10-15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate other commitments. Preference will be given to candidates who commit to working on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Salary range of this part-time position is $700-1200 a month.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Prior experience as a video editor, ideally with a portfolio showcasing your work.
2. Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) and a strong understanding of video editing techniques.
3. Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, while also being self-motivated and independent.
5. Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. A positive attitude and willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic & remote work environment.
8. A working understanding of the sport of ultimate frisbee.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Solid grasp of color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics.
2. Familiarity with other creative software like After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
3. Basic knowledge of audio recording and editing.
4. Prior experience using website builders like Wordpress.
5. Ideal candidates have their own computers they can edit on, but this is not a requirement.
