WHAT YOU WILL DO

This is a freelance position which supports the operation of a corporate production studio in downtown San Francisco and will be hired as needed. The Video Production Operator/Utility will work with our internal VideoLink Studio Manager and client teams to assist with the execution of event production requirements including the operation of studio production equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup of control room and studio elements for each production.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining studio related equipment.
  • Fill various production roles for client webcasts. Current roles we are looking for are inclusive of, but not limited to the following list. (Please note you do not need to be proficient in ALL roles to apply, but we are looking for individuals who are able to support multiple functions of studio operations.)
    • PTZ Camera Operator
    • Audio Operator
    • Floor/Stage Manager
    • Teleprompter Operator
    • Graphics Operator
    • Technical Director
    • Video Engineer

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-have skills & job qualifications

  • Operational experience of studio equipment which may include video switchers, audio boards, robotic cameras, and prompters.
  • Experience with putting lavalier mics on presenters.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with a variety of video conferencing and UC solutions, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
  • PC and MAC literate including Google and MS Office applications.
  • Positive customer service and team attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required.

Nice-to-have skills & job qualifications

  • Knowledge of Ross product suite including Graphite, Carbonite, Xpression, and Tria.
  • Experience with digital monitor walls and video graphic displays.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform overhead work.

  • Although this position is freelance, an opportunity for a full-time position could develop in the future.
