Camera Assistant Job in New York for THE DUTCHMAN Film

DUTCHMAN FILM, INC. is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Camera Assistant for the feature film production of THE DUTCHMAN. This film is set on a New York subway and tells the story of an encounter between a well-to-do Black man and an enchanting white woman. The Camera Assistant will work closely with the Director of Photography and the camera team to ensure smooth operation of the camera equipment and assist in capturing high-quality footage.

Responsibilities:
– Assist the Director of Photography in setting up and operating the camera equipment
– Ensure proper focus, framing, and exposure during filming
– Maintain and organize camera equipment and accessories
– Collaborate with the camera team to achieve the desired visual style and shots
– Assist in troubleshooting technical issues with the camera equipment

Requirements:
– Previous experience as a Camera Assistant on film or television productions
– Strong technical knowledge of camera equipment and accessories
– Familiarity with different types of cameras and their operation
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
