Photographer + Videographer (Freelance)

Job Position(s): Photographer + Videographer (Freelance)

AlgiKnit is seeking a talented and motivated freelance photographer/videographer to document ongoing progress at our lab and office spaces.

**AlgiKnit is a biomaterials company integrating science and design into textile production. Addressing the ecological damage caused by the fashion industry, AlgiKnit is creating durable yet rapidly degradable yarns. We envision the next generation of sustainable, wearable and ethical materials, produced within a closed-loop life cycle.**

Responsibilities:

* Documenting the AlgiKnit team working in our facility

* Documenting construction and design progress at our space

* Editing photos, video, and audio assets as needed

* Transferring and managing assets in an organized and efficient manner

* Meeting regularly with the marketing team

Required Skills:

* A strong eye for design & composition

* Experience in art direction and/or visual styling

* Knowledge of exposure, lighting, filters, and camera angles

* Efficient and effective communication skills across an interdisciplinary team

* Self-starter who can work independently

* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

* Professional, detail oriented, and excellent in time management

* Proficient in Dropbox, Google Drive, and WeTransfer

Supplementary:

* Textile and fiber background is a plus

* Familiarity with end-to-end photo/video content outputs (social media, longform video, etc.) is a plus

* Ownership of appropriate photography, videography, and lighting equipment

Qualification: 2-3 years of photography/videography experience

Term: 4 weeks, 6-8 hours a week

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina
