CASTING (NON-Union):
POV Films is casting for a short film shooting in Toronto on August 26th-27th. $300 per day.
Characters:
ANAS (AGE 19-27) : Born and raised in Yemen. Has PTSD (has no idea). Denial as a coping mechanism. Away from home and Family. New labor job (no papers yet). *MUST BE NATIVE ARABIC SPEAKER*
CORWIN (AGE 19-27) Black Canadian. Empathetic (emotionally mature). Loves exploring other cultures. His father was a soldier and had PTSD
The film centers on positive masculinity, friendship and mental health. The team’s previous credits have screened at Cannes, TIFF, Locarno, Busan and London FF.
