Fall 2023 – AV Production Assistant | Austin, TX | GSD&M

GSD&M is a creatively-driven, full-service agency born and raised in the heart of Texas. We are searching for a part-time Fall 2023 AV Production Assistant seeking to gain hands-on, real word experience in a project-based program to further develop their knowledge of the advertising industry. Must be enrolled as a relevant junior, senior or graduate-level student (Advertising, Radio-Television-Film majors preferred). In addition to learning what agency life is like, GSD&M AV Production Assistants are generally responsible for: Organizing, assembling, and editing videos Search and download footage from the internet, including video streaming sites (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) and stock video sites (Getty, Shutterstock, etc.) Handle dub requests (involving re-exporting videos to spec or resizing) Assist Director of In-House Production in delegating responsibilities to freelancers and interns. Bonus: Create and apply animation to video elements, including supers and pre-comps Key Characteristics/Desired Competencies: Communication skills Organization skills Collaboration Good sense of timing in editing Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Understand video files and specs, and common editing terms (Aspect ratio, codecs, etc.) Prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Good sense of editing, timing, and what makes a great edit. Strong understanding of Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Media Encoder. Bonus: Understanding of Adobe After Effect Requirements: Candidates MUST be enrolled as a relevant junior, senior or graduate-level student Relevant/applicable majors preferred (Advertising, Radio-Television-Film) Must be available during fall (9/12/23-11/17/23) Must be able to work 20 hours a week Must be able to work part-time onsite in person in Austin office Applications close August 25, 2023
