We are an established movie studio looking for an open-minded video editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient with DaVinci Resolve and be able to efficiently work solo without micromanagement using an editing/rending spreadsheet of current work and provided computer onsite Monday through Friday. The editing is not very technical as most films have no cuts and were filmed straight through. Movie projects are either 1 camera angle or multiple camera angles. Single angle projects are VERY easy with no editing needed, just color correction and trim the start and end. Multiple angles need the best camera angle chosen or 2 angles put side by side when called for. On the multi-angle project, you will color correct the footage and zoom it when called for. To all projects you add warning titles, opening interview, opening promo video, and movie titles at the start. Add closing credit, closing promo video, closing interview, and behind the scenes. Its a very simple editing style and multiple complete movies are expected each day since the editing process is so simple. There are no special effects Past that, your will also be making short previews of the movies using a program called BandiCut as well as tube site previews. Pay starts at $20/hr and increases to $25/hr after 90 day evaluation for up to 40 hours each week, paid weekly. After 1 year pay increases to $30/hour plus 1 week of paid vacation every year. Currently conducting interviews for August 23rd start date, but if the right candidate is found they may be able to start sooner.
