Responsibilities: – This is an annual event only – so the entire shooting time commitment is approximately 12 to 16 hours for the week of Aug 21 / 2023 (4 separate days) . I’m based in Guelph and can provide transportation if you are in this general area otherwise you will be required to be onsite early enough prior to each event to discuss and assist prior to the event. (As per Chat GPT lol) … – Capture high-quality video footage for 4 specific events approx. 3 hours each – Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements – Set up and operate cameras and audio recording devices – Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in working order – Ideally you have your own gear and can show me a few samples – this is a ‘run & gun’ event(s), however as ‘cinematic’ as possible is the preference – smooth gimbal type motion – nice DoF effect etc. You will often be in motion – looking for the shot(s) vs a standard tripod setup just constantly scanning. Skills: – Skilled in operating professional video cameras and equipment – Strong knowledge of videography techniques, including composition, lighting, and sound – Ability to work independently – Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills – Strong communication and interpersonal skills – some ‘on the run’ quick interviews of event participants is required – therefore must be personable and ‘not shy’ to engage with people. Note: Experience in photography is a plus. Drone ownership/capability is an asset. The request for a resume is actually a request to see some of your shooting/composition skills even just raw shots as no editing is currently required for this event(s).
