HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food. Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto “Ending hunger lifts us all.” Breadcoin creates a lasting impact by providing food with dignity, supporting local businesses, and resourcing community groups. Breadcoin tokens are designed to empower and feed underserved communities. We currently serve DC, MD, PA, and FL. As a Videographer volunteer for Breadcoin, in partnership with Hunger Free America AmeriCorps Senior (55+) Volunteer Program, you will document Breadcoin’s events, partners as well as capture footage for promotional and training materials. This is an in-person role for an experienced videographer to help us create training materials; depict events, partners, and vendors. As well as to capture “B roll” shots we can use promotionally – Onsite positions in each of our four regions (DC; Baltimore; Harrisburg, PA; Tampa, FL). Flexible timing based on events; options to attend and cover specific events – 5-10 hours/month.
