Job Title VFX Studio Manager Position Overview The VFX Studio Manager ensures our studio and staff run efficiently and dependably while maintaining a positive and confident demeanor. This person will dip their toes into many facets of the organization: operations, brand production, creative, and new business. This person will have an innate curiosity and drive to find solutions that are attainable. This role will have an understanding of the industry’s nature and environment as well as its time-sensitive constraints. You must be a people person, fast learner, enthusiastic, and relationship focused while being technically proficient in videography, visual effects, and video compositing. Their duties include researching, strategizing with other professionals and creating content for successful campaigns. Responsibilities: Onboarding and training of new and existing employees Work with our Brand, Marketing Ops, and Digital Strategy teams to ensure measurement capabilities are in place before campaign execution Provide regular reports on creative asset performance, ensuring consistency accuracy with relevant insights Work closely with Director of Design to deliver desired campaign creative and advise on campaign strategies and solutions Navigate and influence business partners across the enterprise to align on strategies Ensure that storyboards and production plans are efficient and attainable Maintaining a warm, welcoming environment Managing multiple priorities in various brands and channels Planning and implementation of future goals outlined by our strategic business objectives Studio Event Planning Manage budgets Work closely with Senior Manager Creative Production to deliver desired visual storytelling and advise on creative strategies and solutions Project prioritization and resource allocation Lead a team of video and CGI editors Creating and maintaining overview/department schedules and delivery oversight for all VFX projects Serve as the main point of coordination and contact between the day-to-day production team and the project’s stakeholders Oversee the execution of the delivery of assets to our distribution channels (brand.coms, ShawNow, Showpad, etc.) Drive improvement and efficiency, remaining open to change and collaboration Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in video production, visual effects or related field 5+ years of direct experience in video production and visual effects Experience leading others and supporting a safe team environment Ability to quickly identify, address and incorporate emerging video trends into strategic development Experience working for an agency or marketing department with an understanding of marketing strategy Experience in B2C marketing in a B2B2C business environment Ability to quickly identify, address and incorporate emerging trends into strategic development Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Team player with no issues rolling up your sleeves to help each other Ability to respond to changing needs and shifting priorities Work Shift 8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM Shaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
