Archives Digitizer | Iselin, NJ | Paramount Global

This freelance position will be responsible for digitizing archival content using the new SAMMA automated ingest system and the Archives Media Asset Management (MAM) system.  This person will be trained to pull and clean the cassette tapes and confirm the content needs to be digitized in the MAM system.  They will apply new barcodes to the cassette and scan them into the ingest system, monitor their progress and then confirm the files were created properly.  They will then move the newly created files to an automatic watch folder which will send them to AWS. They will then mark these ingested assets as complete in the MAM system and on an associated excel document.   Requirements:  Ability to work night shifts and weekends (M-Thurs 4:30pm – 1:00am, Sunday flexible schedule) Bachelor’s degree preferred Experience MS office software suite Knowledge of videotape,file formats and  video signals a plus
