About the Film: “A Complete Unknown” is an exciting feature film that follows the journey of a 19-year-old Bob Dylan (played by Timothée Chalamet) as he arrives in New York City in 1961 in search of his hero, an ailing Woody Guthrie. The film portrays Dylan’s immersion into the vibrant New York folk scene, where he encounters iconic figures like Pete Seeger (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro) who recognize his extraordinary talent. Bob Dylan’s rise to fame takes him from gigs in downtown clubs to becoming a sensation under contract at Columbia Records. The story captures his transformation into a cultural phenomenon, his profound relationships in the folk music world, and his eventual departure from folk music to form a band, leaving his fans and the music community bewildered. The film is currently experiencing a production delay due to the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike and is also known by the working title “WURTZLE BROTHERS.”

Job Title: Production Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist the production team in various tasks related to the film’s production.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Director (1AD) and Production Manager (PM) to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
• Provide general on-set support, including setting up equipment, distributing scripts, and coordinating talent and crew needs.
• Help with talent and location releases as needed.
• Manage communication between departments to facilitate a seamless workflow.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and organized set environment.
• Handle administrative duties and other tasks assigned by the production team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Production Assistant is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Passion for the film industry and a strong interest in film production.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work long and flexible hours during the production phase.
• Familiarity with the WGA/SAG-AFTRA regulations is a plus.

Location: New York – New Jersey – Montreal (Travel may be required between locations)
