Job Description Nevada State University (NSU) invites applications for the position of Student Worker – Visual Media Actor/Model. The student worker will provide instructional support for Visual Media classes by serving as camera model or doing light acting for blocking, lighting, composition, and sound exercises. Students must be available to attend relevant class sessions. Core Responsibilities: Hold and change poses for lighting and photography exercises. Act in short scenes, including hitting marks, delivering lines (cold read or light memorization), and performing physical actions. Minimum Qualifications: Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at NSU. Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (NSU does not sponsor employment-related visas). Demonstrated ability to follow set protocol and maintain a professional work relationship with faculty and students. Ability and commitment to attend required class sessions. Students will be advised on relevant sessions during the interview process. The schedule for future semesters will change, and future employment will be contingent upon availability. Preferred Qualifications: Prior acting or modeling experience is not required but helpful Work Hours: This position will work 12 hours per week. Student employees can work up to 19.5 hours per week. Hourly Rate: $11.25 per hour.
