Job Position(s): Video Editor for Educational Content, Hayden Hillier-Smith

Hayden Hillier-Smith & Creator Now are seeking an experienced Editor to edit content for an online course. The Editor will work closely with Hayden Hillier-Smith to shape the content into agreed upon videos, chapters, and storytelling arcs. The Editor will also collaborate with the Creator Now team on an ongoing basis to ensure that the knowledge within the content is being codified appropriately. Responsibilities: – Collaborate with Hayden Hillier-Smith & Creator Now to edit educational content for the a pre-recorded course experience. – Work with the Creator Now team to ensure that the knowledge within the content is being codified appropriately. – Elevate the edit’s storytelling through b-roll and sound design. – Utilize NLEs such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, or DaVinci Resolve to edit content. – Ability to incorporate Adobe After Effects/Motion Graphics is a plus but not required. – Check in periodically with the Creator Now team to ensure that the final product is high-quality and meets the required specifications. – Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders to ensure that deadlines are met. – Perform any other duties as assigned by the team. Requirements: – Minimum 2-3 years of experience editing in an NLE such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, or DaVinci Resolve. – Ability to elevate the edit’s storytelling through b-roll and sound design. – Ability to work remotely or be located in Los Angeles California. – Passion for video editing. – A portfolio of previous work. – Excellent communication skills.
