DC3, a department within Full Sail, is looking for a Video Editor to join the team. The Video Editor may work on a variety of productions including interviews, course videos and live action. This individual will work as a part of the production team, focusing on both storytelling and utility editing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create and edit stories, with a thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity from beginning to end Use creative editing techniques to serve the story and enhance the energy of a project Curate video content with a solid understanding of shot composition and the technical aspects of video camerawork Must be experienced with the pre-production process and be able to create shot-lists, script breakdowns, and scene breakdowns Work closely with project managers and the video team to create videos up to the standards and quality of the Full Sail and Full Sail DC3 brand. Some evening and weekend work may be required Other Responsibilities: N/A Supervisory Responsibilities: No Competencies: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop Strong organizational skills Must be a self-starter with solid problem-solving skills and ability to pivot if needs change Must be a great team player and communicator Must be able to independently manage your time to meet deadlines Demo Reel required for consideration Education and/or Experience: 3 – 5 years work experience in video editing Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects of varying complexities and durations Experience with camerawork a plus Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/A Computer/Equipment Skills: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop Environmental Factors/Physical Demands: Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds. Full Sail is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
