Seeking Soldiers for Short Action Film

A ‘Black Hawk Down’ style film based on the 2002 giant of Kandahar incident.
In the remote mountains of Kandahar, an army special forces unit goes missing. Two brothers in a special forces unit, is then deployed on a rescue mission to find and retrieve the missing unit. While David struggles with nightmares, Dan struggles to reconcile their purpose, tells the story of a broken family, stemmed by an absent father.

This 12 minute film will be shot on 4 separate locations on 4 separate dates. This is the first.

Location 1: Half-moon Bay SF – July 22 2023 (Cave battle scene)
Location 2: Undisclosed green room 2023 (Cave battle scene)
Location 3: Undisclosed warehouse 2023 (Military Briefing)
Location 4: Hayward California (Chopper launch pad)

Dan
Supporting, Male, 26 – 35 yrs, Non-Union
Dan is a war hardened special forces soldier and leader. Older brother to lead role David. Dan feels extra responsible for his brother David and has been the watcher and protector of his family since his father never was.

Mike
Supporting, Male, 20 – 28 yrs, 6’0″ min, Non-Union
Mike is an Army special forces soldier, who looks too handsome to be a soldier. Kind empathetic, and brave, Mike is key to his unit, and will often take point under his unit lead Dan.

David
Lead, Male, 20 – 26 yrs, Non-Union
Dedicated and intense, David is an army special forces soldier, whose nightmares have haunted him since childhood. A bit odd and different, David may sleep in his fatigues and prey to his rifle on a daily. David is the younger brother of the units leader Dan
