Indie Intern for A24

A24 is looking for a part-time intern to support the Indie team for the Summer 2023 semester — must be available up to 20-25 hours per week with a June 5th, 2023 start date.

Initial Responsibilities

• Provide logistical support for film festival bookings and press screenings
• Assist with tracking and research on films seeking distribution
• Compile data on box office performance and historical releases
• Proofread press notes and other written materials
• Administrative support maintaining publicity documents
• In-person support at events and screenings (NY or LA)

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Prior experience doing office work
• Competence writing and proofreading
• Interest in and knowledge of a wide variety of films

This New York-based department works across acquisition, distribution, marketing, and publicity for A24’s specialized, arthouse, and multiplatform releases. The prospective intern will get exposure to a broad range of the work that goes into releasing independent films.
-Preference for New York- or Los Angeles-based candidates.

Our internships are part-time roles with an hourly rate of $17.00. Actual pay will depend on various considerations, including: education, experience, skills, specializations, training, and business needs.
