Junior Producer

Steak+Sizzle Agency is looking to hire a full-time junior producer for a 6-month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Working closely with the creative director, the junior producer carries out a wide variety of photo, video, and graphic design projects for our clients. You must possess strong leadership and organizational skills. You’ll take responsibility for every step in the project management process (timelines, schedules, budgets, post-production, legalities, etc.) and manage crews and workflows while remaining in contact with the clients. As the junior producer, you’re a problem-solving whiz who knows how to work with creative, production crews, and client teams to come up with solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Responsible for the flawless execution of projects from brief to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
-Assess preliminary ideas and define deliverables.
-Prepare high-level budgets and timelines.
-Recommend, research, and negotiate with the best potential partners (production houses, internal talent, suppliers, external talent).
-Manage entire productions using agency resources.
-Manage productions working directly with the client, and present content for client approval at all appropriate stages of creative and production.
-Oversee the day-to-day progress of projects throughout the production process.
-Work with creative teams and suppliers to identify and manage any production risks.
-Obtain internal approvals at all appropriate creative and production stages.
-Make sure projects receive all the necessary legal approvals (regular legal vetting, exclusive use agreements, spokespeople, copyrights, etc.).
-Oversee final project billing and wrap-up, including archiving and production notes.
-Be responsible for project management and profitability.
-Work with the creative teams to elevate Steak+Sizzle’s creative output by suggesting production ideas, and solutions, and finding opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

-University degree in media and television production, a related field, or similar experience.
-2 years + of experience in television, video and/or film production, or in an agency setting
-Excellent knowledge of production and post-production processes
-Demonstrated ability to think and communicate strategically
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads and short deadlines
-Travelling may be required. The majority of the work will be remote, while some work is expected on location for shoots when necessary.
-A valid driver’s license and passport are required. Access to a vehicle when necessary.
-Fluent in French, both written and oral an asset

CONTRACT LENGTH

SALARY

$34-$43 per hour ($70k-$90k per year) depending on experience
