Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting student videographers for The Nevada Wolf Pack Football Team. This job would entail filming practices, workouts and home games as well as the possibility to travel and film away games. During the spring semester the position will be busy during spring camp from late March to early May. Fall semester will be busier with fall camp starting in early August and the season running until late December. Candidates who will be in Reno before the fall semester begins to film fall camp is a plus. This position works closely with various computer applications to edit footage and upload it for the coaches and players review.
Responsibilities
- Candidates will be responsible for setup and breakdown of their assigned camera and tripod setup before and after practices and games. This includes formatting SD cards and ensuring batteries are charged and have the proper backups.
- Candidates must not have a fear of heights as some filming positions include being perched on a 30-foot scissor lift as well as small crows nest and overhangs around the stadium.
- Candidates will also be responsible for uploading the footage into XOS Thundercloud and editing this footage into individual plays under the coach’s instructions.
- This position requires extended amount of time outdoors in the elements. This will include practices and games in the rain, snow and wind.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be a Student of the University of Nevada, Reno and must maintain a 2.00 GPA and must be enrolled in at least 12 Credits. A working knowledge of the game of football, understanding the different position groups, formations and being able to identify basic football strategy. Have a high level of computer literacy and ability to learn various computer applications quickly. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines, and have Tuesday and Thursday mornings free from 7:00am-Noon
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a background in videography or experience with video production a plus.

Varies depending on practice schedule for Spring 2022.
Must have Tuesday and Thursday mornings free from 7:00am-Noon.
Fall 2022 practice schedule is undecided but must be available on gamedays.
If awarded this position you will receive advanced registration for classes to ensure availability during practice times.
Regulations Regarding Student Employment: Student employees may work a maximum of 25 hours per week during periods of enrollment when classes are in session (Fall/Spring semesters). During breaks (winter, spring, summer) students should not work more than eight hours a day or a 40-hour work week (Sunday-Saturday).
