TITLE: GOOD MORNING (MAGANDANG UMAGA)
Director: AJ Vergara
Logline: A Filipino entrepreneur tries to keep his TV production afloat while balancing out the plight in his life.
Union to be considered.
This is a volunteer project.
Shooting in the Lower Mainland January 9th – January 25th

ROLES:

JIRO MENDEZ (Pronounced Gee-Row) – late 20s – early 30s, Male, Filipino, Lead Role. Consummate team player with a heart of gold. Family oriented. Wants to be recognized for his efforts but deep down is struggling with who he is and who he’s projecting himself to be. * Must be willing to learn and or know how to speak Tagalog.

GOFFREDO IGNASIO – (Pronounced Joffredo) late 20s – early 30s, Male, Filipino, 2nd Lead Role. The ambitious one and leader of the team. Goff strives to become the next great filmmaker in Vancouver BC. He’ll sacrifice anything and anyone to get to where he’s determined to go.

JORDAN MENDEZ – mid 30s, Male, Filipino, Supporting Role. The older brother to Jiro. He’s been conditioned to be the “role model” of the family but hanging with the wrong crowd mixed with destructive tendencies has caused him towards a life of crime which he’s fully accepted. * Must be willing to learn and or know how to speak Tagalog.

PAOLO – mid 20s – early 30s, Male, Spanish/Filipino, Supporting Role. Paolo has had his ups and downs in both his career as an actor and his personal life. He’s currently on the low end of his existence and is looking for a resurgence in his life.

GOON 1 – LAWRENCE – mid 20s to late 30s, Male, open ethnicity. Jordan’s right-hand man. Currently aimless in life. Doesn’t mind falling in line and doing what’s been told. Very loyal. Would take a bid or bullet for you.

GOON 2 – MOONY – mid 20s to late 30s, Male, open ethnicity. Second in command in Jordan’s crew. Conflicted between being down for the crew or to pursue his own endeavours in life. Loyalty questionable. May fold under extreme pressure.

GOON 3 – ALBERT – mid 20s to late 30s, Male, open ethnicity. Newest member of Jordan’s crew. Has a major chip on his shoulder and has something to prove.

OFFICER MICHAEL/MICHELLE – mid 20s – late 30s, open gender, open ethnicity. Ponders another life outside of being a cop. As of late it’s became a 9-5.

MARK PETERSON/CARRIE PETERSON – mid to late 30s, open gender, open ethnicity – Passive yet very cerebral. Sometimes he lets moments slip away but the ones he catches are his trophies in life. Make’s deals with his eyes and not his mouth.

WASEEM EL HUSSAIN – mid 30s to late 40s, Male, Middle Eastern. Was groomed to be become a successful executive. Knows how to follow his gut. Know’s when to fold. Expert Negotiator. Fears failure more than death.

EVAN – mid 20s to early 40s, Male, open ethnicity – Momma’s boy. Mother issues. Needy. Seeks validation. Looks up to his Mom like a God and is terrified of her. He takes his anger out at Ping Pong where he makes a nice side hustle.
