Robert De Niro Film Needs Extras!

Robert De Niro is coming back for another gangster movie and the film currently titled “Wise Guys” will be filming in the Cincinnati, Ohio area this month.

The movie is filming in multiple locations including Atlanta, however, what the film is looking for now are people in the Cincinnati area who would love a chance to work in a movie. The casting directors for the film are seeking Cincinnati locals who would like to spend a day or two working on set as paid background actors.

According to online reports, DiNiro will be starring in the film…opposite himself. That’s right, he seems to be playing 2 characters in “Wise Guys” or at least that is what is currently being reported. Robert DiNiro is well known for his portrayals of criminals & gangsters including “The Godfather 2,” “Goodfellas,” “Casino,” “The Irishman” and “Heat.”  The new film will reunite DiNiro with director Barry Levinson. The pair has worked on multiple projects in the past which include “The Wizard of Lies” and the movies “What Just Happened,” “Wag the Dog,” and “Sleepers.”

The movie is backed by Warner Bros. and will be directed by Barry Levinson (“Rain Man”). According to IMDB.com, “Wise Guys” is about the Italian-American mob bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, who ran two separate crime families. In 1957, Genovese attempted to assassinate Costello but failed. The movie will be releasaed in movie theaters sometime next year.

According to Cincinnati’s local news site, the movie will be needing lots of paid extras and they are especially interested in “anybody who is of Italian descent or who looks like they could be a NY mobster in the 1950s.”
