Rodeo FX is hiring a Senior VFX Producer for their Montreal studio on a permanent basis. This role sits at the center of the VFX pipeline, owning budgets, schedules, and client relationships across multiple projects from bid through final delivery. It’s a fit for a seasoned production professional who has spent years managing high-volume VFX work on feature film or episodic television and knows how to hold a project together when the scope starts to shift.

About the Role

The Senior VFX Producer at Rodeo FX works directly alongside VFX Supervisors and department heads to keep projects on track from initial bid to post-production delivery. Day to day, this means tracking budgets in Shotgun, flagging schedule risks before they become problems, and keeping clients informed without losing momentum on the floor. The role carries real authority over resource allocation, overtime approvals, and team performance, which means it requires someone who has actually done this work at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the VFX Supervisor and the business development team to assess costs and prepare bids for incoming feature film and episodic television projects.
• Build and maintain the project schedule, define key milestones, and assign the right mix of artist experience and technical skill to meet the client’s deliverables.
• Maintain Shotgun as the live record of project status, ensuring budget tracking and schedule data reflect reality at all times throughout the VFX pipeline.
• Manage client communication directly, presenting solutions and revised bids when scope changes, and keeping the relationship productive through full production.
• Conduct mid-project and post-mortem reviews, document what worked and what didn’t, and feed those findings back into process improvements for the production team.
• Evaluate team performance through formal reviews, make recommendations on compensation and promotion, and address performance issues in coordination with department heads.

What You Bring

• Several years of experience producing VFX projects at a post-production facility, with credits on feature film or high-end episodic television.
• Fluency with Shotgun for schedule management, budget tracking, and production reporting across concurrent projects.
• Proven experience building and managing VFX budgets from bid stage through delivery, including change order management.
• Strong track record managing production teams, including mentoring junior producers and coordinating with supervisors across departments.
• Bilingual French and English communication skills are an asset given Rodeo FX’s Montreal operations and international client base.
