Hive Studios is an award winning recording studio that has been operating in Hamilton, Ontario for over 15 years.
We are looking for a very special candidate (min 5 years experience) who is a master in the digital audio world. We need someone who can
do it all, and hit the ground running. Experience is key and the person we hire must be confident and adaptable.
We need someone who can communicate and be professional with clients as well as understand all the technical
aspects of studio work. In addition to technical recording, mixing and mastering skills, music and instrument
knowledge is important.
Required Skills / Experience:
– Pro Tools
– Cubase
– Source Connect
– Windows / OSX / basic Linux / Networking
– Microphone technique for acoustic instruments and voice
– Familiarity with electric guitar and bass / amplifiers etc.
– Basic skills in tuning / fixing common band instruments including drums
– VO / ADR session organization and execution
– MIDI
– Music Composition / Theory / Songwriting / Production
– Film and TV workflow
– Mixing / Mastering for Music and Film
– Location recording techniques / Set experience
– Sales / Scheduling / Customer relations
– Computer / Software troubleshooting and problem solving
We are looking for a real team member here. The right person will be responsible for a significant portion of the
operation of Hive Studios and be compensated accordingly based on relevant experience.
