Casting Call: Creative Freelance Actors for Rubixx Studio YouTube Channel

Are you an actor who loves bringing ideas to life — especially when they’re a bit offbeat, funny, and un-corporate?

We’re Rubixx, a tech company that doesn’t do “corporate video.” Our YouTube channel, Rubixx Studio, is where we tell stories, poke fun at business clichés, and show how modern software can actually be human.

What You’ll Do

• Perform in scripted and improvised video pieces filmed at our studio in Stoke – ST2 8DD.
• Portray a range of characters — from “office drama” parody roles to quirky narrators and tech rebels.
• Collaborate with our in-house media team to deliver online content.
• Bring your personality and humour to every performance — we value individuality over polish.

Who You Are

• A confident performer with great comedic timing.
• Comfortable on camera and open to experimentation — our videos evolve fast and stay loose.
• Reliable, collaborative, and up for creative fun with a small, friendly production team.
• Acting experience (theatre, screen, or online content) is ideal, but enthusiasm counts most.

Using the stage direction, make it feel like you’re in the car.
Panicked and fearing for your life. Just imagine the taxi driver saying his
line.

A taxi pulls up outside, and you get in. The taxi driver sets off at a pace,
spinning the wheels, sending you back into your seat. He’s going far too
fast. You fasten your seat belt and pull it tight, putting your head back
and bracing yourself. Anything could happen; this driver’s a lunatic.

TAXI DRIVER
“Do you ever feel like this could be your last journey?”

Panicked, you attempt to slow him down with a demand.
YOU

“What do you mean? Literally. Yes! Like right now! Slow
down, slow down! Please. “

He speeds up further, dodging other cars on the carriageway. Panicked
and understanding he won’t just slow down, you respond with a heartfelt
attempt to persuade this driver to slow down and take his time.

YOU (PANICKED)
“I’ve got kids, have you got kids? … Driver!? If we hit something at this speed, we’re finished! We’d die! Please just slow down the car! Or I’m calling the police! Please! I’m only going to Tesco!”
