Eva is dying, and her husband Sam can’t live without her. They are offered one slim chance to save her; transfer her consciousness into a machine. They are recruited into the trial of the APEX program which will attempt to download her mind into a virtual world where she can live on without pain or sickness or worry. If successful, Sam will be able to communicate with her using an app program through any internet connectable device, but the odds are against them. As the transfer progresses Eva realizes that she is losing her memories while Sam watches the love of his life deteriorate. Then, just as the critical stage is reached something goes wrong. Eva has to decide whether to stop the process and remain trapped in her dying body with many of her most precious memories erased from her mind, or continue to the final stage and risk the chance that the transfer will fail, and what will be left of her is just a copy in the machine.
